Australian musicians are mobilising, calling on you to vote climate.
STEP ONE:
GET READY TO VOTE CLIMATE.
It’s up to you to do your research into what climate policies the parties & candidates are offering.
Here’s what to look for:
100% renewables ASAP
Do they back a rapid shift to clean energy? No more fossil freebies
Will they stop funding coal, oil, and gas?No nuclear distractions
Are they using nuclear as a smokescreen for fossil fuels?First Nations justice
Are they listening to First Nations voices?Climate first
Will they make real action a top priority?
There are many resources online that can help you understand the climate policies of the various parties and candidates.
ABC's Vote Compass helps Australians figure out whether they align with the policies proposed by the key parties. It's a reliable and useful tool, but if you want to go deeper...
Build A Ballot is a free online tool designed to help voters research candidates and plan their personalised how-to-vote card for their specific electorate.
We also recommend checking out the scorecards that are being released by independent climate groups including the Climate Council and ACF. Plus your local grassroots environmental group will likely have an available scorecards for your electorate.
